The card I'm showing today is one that I submitted to the last call at Paper Crafts. It didn't get a call-back, so I get to share it with you now!
I used the large cardinal from my set from Heartfelt Creations to create a card for encouragement. I already have this wrapped up and read to give to my aunt. She will love it.
I die-cut the leaves and ran them back through with the woodgrain impression plate. I stamped the background with Text Style and inked the edges with 3 different colors: Tea Dye, Walnut Stain and Pure Poppy. I think I made this the day I purchased the Tim Holtz distressing tool. Went a little crazy, didn't I? I added the scallop border and placed everything on a Kraft panel with the woodgrain impression. I think it kind of looks like he is sitting on a fence.
Thank you for visiting My Happy Place today!

Wonderful card. I love that cardinal. Great technique to put those leave die cuts through the woodgrain IP. It looks great.
Lee Anne, I LOVE that cardinal. I think I have seen you use it before and I am sorry this card didn't get picked up. I love it.
You are sweet to make it for your aunt.
Have a wonderful holiday!!
This is really stunning! So soft and beautiful, I'm sure she will love it!
