PTI February Blog Hop

This month Nichole gave us a very challenging inspiration photo with colors that I would never have put together, but it is beautiful! You can visit the challenge page here.

I used the gray, pinks, and purples in my card below, along with some ripe avocado and gold shimmer cardstock.

PTI Celebrating 2016

Last year, 2016, for PTI was a fun year for me!  I loved the Color Pop series and hope to get more of those in the coming year, and the Inspired series is a favorite of mine!

One set highlighted in Nichole's challenge today is Tulip Time! Oh how I love this set! I've used it several times and even made about 35 Easter cards with it last year.

Here's the card I made with it today:

PTI Celebrating 2015

Today Nichole is celebrating 2015 with so many fun sets highlighted.  There were several that I loved in 2015; it was a great year for Super Hero themes!  I did not have the sets that Nichole highlighted, but I did love this card by Laurie using the Baker's Dozen cupcake set.

Instead of Baker's Dozen, I used Tremendous Treats: Valentine that was still sitting on my desk from earlier in the PTI Celebration. Here's my card:

PTI's Tremendous Treats: Valentines, Think Big Favorites: #1

I added glossy accents to the cupcake to give it some dimension.

And here is the inside:
PTI's Birthday Bash Sentiments, Tiny Treats: Valentine

PTI Celebrating 2014

Today's celebration challenge is for the year 2014.  This was a great year for PTI, and there are many sets released in that year that I own, but none that were highlighted today are in my stash.

I chose this card by Laurie as inspiration for my Get Well card I made for a friend of mine.

And here is my card:

PTI Celebrating 2013

Today's celebration challenge is for the year 2013.  This was a great year for PTI, and there are many sets released in that year that I own, but none that were highlighted today are in my stash.

So, I chose this card by Cristina Kowalczyk as inspiration for my post today.  I love the colors she chose, and never would have put them together myself.  The unique way she used the leaf in her design caught me by surprise, and I loved it!

Click here to see more from Cristina.
I remember how much I loved Ruby Rose, the set that Cristina used for this card, but never purchased it.  There's a good chance I will order it soon after seeing some of the cards from the designers. I love the different patterns on the flowers and leaves in this set.

Instead of Ruby Rose, I used a favorite set of mine released in March 2011, Sending You. It has a leaf with a unique style like the one in Ruby Rose.

Here's the card I made:

PTI Celebrating 2011

Today's post and challenge on Nichole's blog are all about celebrating 2011 with Papertrey Ink.  I was excited to pull out Tremendous Treats for this challenge. Of all the Tiny Treats and Tremendous Treats sets that PTI has, the Valentines themed ones are my favorite.  I feel like they are pretty versatile, and don't necessarily have to be used just for Valentines.

I had a few ideas for a card using this set, but had someone on my mind; she's had a rough week, so I created this:

PTI's Tremendous Treats, Up Up and Away, Scene It Dies, In the Meadow dies

PTI Celebrating 2012

Today's post and challenge on Nichole's blog are all about celebrating 2012 with Papertrey Ink.  I only had one set that was highlighted, but it is a favorite!  I love anything with a sunshine, cloudy, or rainy theme!
Hello, Sunshine

PTI Celebrating 2010

Today's post and challenge on Nichole's blog are all about celebrating 2010 with Papertrey Ink.  I had a few sets to choose from to highlight for today, but I wanted to pull out this first in a series set:

Take 3: Summer
Here's the card I made for it:
Take 3 Summer, Leafy Vine Border die
I used shimmer cardstock for the orange panel and leafy border and added a bit of sparkle to the flowers with a gel pen.

PTI Celebrating 2009

2009 - The year I discovered Papertrey Ink, and my crafty world has not been the same since then.  I have met several friends through this company, made many cards and scrapbook layouts, and have shared them with many friends of my own.  It was pretty life-changing.  The release of one of my favorite stamp sets, On My Couch, is highlighted today on Nichole's blog, so I had to make a card with it.

PTI Celebrating 2008

Today Nichole is celebrating 2008 stamps that were released, and one of them is my all-time favorite one.  It was in the very first purchase that I made from PTI, and has been used countless times.

PTI Celebrating 2007

Nichole's challenge for today is to use a card from the 2007 Release as inspiration.  Here's the card I chose:

I used it as inspiration to create this sympathy card for a friend who just lost her father:

Healing Touch Sentiments, Branching Out die
