My aunt told me not to buy her anything for Christmas, so technically, I am doing what she told me to do. I'm making her as many cards as I can before I have to stop and get things gathered for the holidays. She will need many cards this year. Sadly, her daughter, my cousin, passed away at the beginning of the month. She will need notecards.
I love the word "Hope," and I love this stamp from the Faith and Hope set. The font is beautiful. (I wish there were a similar sentiment for the word "faith" in the set, but there is not...odd?)
I made a set of six of these last night:

Through the Trees, Faith and Hope stamp sets, Woodgrain Impression Plate (all PTI) |
I wanted the strong contrast of color on this one so that the red would stand out. I considered using Vintage Cream or even Rustic White as the mat, but that wasn't enough. After stamping everything on the white panel, I ran it through the Big Shot with the woodgrain impression plate. I almost used the canvas one, and I'm glad I didn't. Then I adhered the panel to a Dark Chocolate base.
So far I've made my aunt 19 cards for her to use. I'll share another one tomorrow. The third set is a total CASE from Melissa Bickford, so I won't post it here. You can see her card I cased
here. (It's the first one.)
