On today's card I used the last flower image in the set and wanted to do some coloring. I love to color! You could see evidence of that by looking in my son's coloring books. Really - is there anything better than a new box of crayons? (besides new stamps?)
Here's my card. I was in the mood for something a little different, so this is a 4.25" square card.
Copics scare me. Not only are they expensive, but the fact that I have to have certain numbers of certain colors to make sure they all coordinate is a little intimidating. I love the look of them, and those of you that use them do a great job - but they scare me. Therefore, I use Aquacolor pencils and a blender pen.
This started in my mind as a CAS card, and I tried to stay true to that original thought, but coloring may have pushed it over the edge of not being simple. There is a solid stamp to use as a fill-in for those of you that don't like to color. I outlined the flower in my Sakura Stardust pen to add a little sparkle. Once again, all of these images are in the main Flower Garden set. The companion set is a must have too!
Papertrey Ink Supplies:
Stamps: Flower Garden
Paper: Spring Moss, Vintage Cream
Ink: Ripe Avocado, Hibiscus Burst
Other Supplies:
Aquacolor pencils, Dove blender pen, gemstones, Sakura penAgain, thanks for sticking with me for 7 days as I have highlighted one of my favorite stamp sets designed by Lisa Johnson. I'm exhausted and am probably on my way to our beach vacation as you read this!
Here are all the cards together:
I'm trying to decide which set to focus on next - Scattered Showers & Additions, Springtime Doodles or Wishing You. In the meantime, you can see several other cards I've made with Flower Garden by clicking on these links:
March 2009 (after I first discovered PTI)
CPS Challenge (I loved this sketch!)
World Card Making Day (CAS - super-easy with this set)
February Blog Hop (2 cards for the hop: creating background paper and also coloring in)
March 2010 (what's better than kraft and pure poppy? Cork and pure poppy!)
Becky's Challenge (coloring, cutting & background paper)

all of your cards are fabulous..u are right, it's quite the versatile set! I vote for WISHING YOU next, as I hv that set, and hardly use it!
This is my favorite of all of them!! So pretty and your coloring is wonderful..no need for copics! I'd love to see you focus on Scattered Showers next, I love that set but haven't used it near enough (but will because I'm getting ready to do Bridal Shower invites with them in the near future).
Thank you so much for showcasing this set the last 7 days....It really has gone to the top of my "list"! This card is soo pretty using your pencils and blender! My vote would be Wishing You as well.....this is an unloved set of mine!
Please don't do Wishing You! I don't have that set and really don't need to be further enabled! Just kidding. You do whatever you want! Today's card is lovely...I especially like the shimmer you added here and there.
I think this may be my favorite of your 7. I love the vine! I would *love* to see you do Wishing You. I have this set but it always confounds me.
They are all just gorgeous! I love how each one is so different!
Wow, this is really beautiful and the coloring is perfect!
So pretty, Lee Anne! I am totally with you on the Copics thing. I don't particularly like coloring and I have pledged not to open that can of worms by buying them. :) But you did such a lovely job here.
If you choose Scattered Showers next, I will keep a particulatly close eye on the Additions set. I don't have that one and can't really figure out how I would use it. But I love the original set/umbrella images. So please inspire me!! (No pressure or anything.)
P.S. I love the Damask Designs! ;)
I love seeing all of the different looks you can acheive with one stamp set! Great work!
