This card is for my blog group's challenge from a couple of weeks ago. I'm trying to catch up! Laurie challenged us with:
1. Use a flower set, if you have it Papertrey Ink, Year of the Flowers set.
2. Use a designer paper. If you don't have any, make your own.
3. Use at least three different colors.
2. Use a designer paper. If you don't have any, make your own.
3. Use at least three different colors.
I love to paper-piece the flowers from PTI's Flower Garden set, so I knew that was the set I was going to use. I don't own any of the Year of Flowers sets, and quickly turn my head away when I see someone create something fabulous. And I scream, "No, No, NO...I don't want that set!" We'll see how long I can keep it up.
Here's my card:
I love that patterned paper. All of it is from Bo Bunny and was part of a free pad I received at Archivers. I've never used it, because I have a problem using my patterned paper. (I'm on Step 2 of the 12 Step program for this.)
I cut out the flowers and leaves by hand but would not mind a die set for Flower Garden! (LISA JOHNSON- are you reading this?) Who am I kidding...she's not.
Here's the inside:
Come along and play with the Dolls on our challenges. We'll have a new one this week AND we have a big BLOG HOP planned to start on March 9th. Fun! Click here for our blog and join the fun!
Thanks for visiting My Happy Place!

I love how you puffed up the flowers. You did a great job with the colors!
You did an amazing job cutting all those flowers and leaves out! I love this set too. Those flowers look fantastic grouped/layered together with their button centers! :) (I bought this set because of you!)
you are too funny!!
pretty card!
So pretty- I love the way those flowers look when paper pieced!
Lovely card, Lee Anne! You did a great job paper-piecing the flowers. I don't have the Flower Garden set so it's my turn to look away and say "No, no, no! I don't need it!" But, your card is definitely tempting me to add it to my cart! :-)
This is really pretty, Lee Anne! I love the mixture of patterned papers, and the paper pieced flowers. And some day I WILL own that stamp set lol!
This is so lovely! I really like the patterned paper flowers and the colors you used.
What a cute card. I love that paper too! Those colors are beautiful.
Wow! This is so pretty. My eyes popped out (in the good way) when I saw your magnificent card) It is so very well put together. The colors are dreamy and the inside is just perfect.
Gorgeous card! I love love love how you did the flowers on patterned paper!! Thanks so much for playing along with the challenge!
I really love your card... and I think I am finally on about step 4 of using my paper :-)
Oh LeeAnne this is gorgeous. I LOVE those flowers. I actually thought you did something with paint or shimmer to make them have a glow around them, but now I realize it's a diecut in a slightly lighter shade- so clever! The added bonus is the inside - I never do this cuz I'm lazy! But I love it!
I love your mix of patterns here - and those gorgeous button centres! I don't have this set - but you make it look VERY tempting!
