But the birds - the cardinals - I love. They have a very special meaning to me, but I won't go into that here.
My friends know the meaning of cardinals to me and have given me various gifts - pillows, pictures, cards, earrings, shirts - that have cardinals on them. For Halloween my friend, Tanna, gave me some cardinal stamps from Heartfelt Creations. I immediately inked them up and made her this card.

This is the largest of the 5 birds in the set. He was very easy to cut out, although there are dies for the stamps also. Eeek. Didn't really need to know that, now did I?
So, this was her thank you note for the beautiful stamps with beautiful meaning. If you only knew...
I have another friend that is a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan and she went to Game 6 and 7 last week. She brought me a championship shirt back from her trip, so I plan on making her a baseball theme card with these stamps. I'll post it when I'm finished!
Thanks for visiting My Happy Place today!

Lovely card. I like how you combined the woodgrain IP with the vine die cut.
Beautiful card. You reminded me of how much I love that vine die, and how neglected it has been lately.
Hi Lee Anne! I love them too! Here, they are a winter bird - they stand out so brightly against the snow and their song is so loud, beautiful and distinct. They aren't the smartest birds - they always seem to fly right in front of the car, daredevils that they are. LOL! Your card is beautiful!!!
Your card is gorgeous! I love how you used the woodgrain embossing folder. It looks like this beautiful bird is sitting in a tree. We get cardinals at our bird feeder and I never get tired of seeing them and hearing their song! Great job!
This is wonderful! Great job with cutting out the stamped image by hand!
This is gorgeous...I, too, love Cardinals, but sadly we don't get any at our bird feeder. I love the use of the woodgrain texture for this image!
