This is another set of cards I made as a gift for my aunt. I had this design in my head all night and needed the perfect patterned paper as my panel. Because I don't have *any* patterned paper in my house, I had to go and buy some. When I saw this paper from October Afternoon, it was love at first sight.
I want ten more pieces - just to look at, because as I said above, there is no patterned paper in my house. (If you believe that, I have some ocean front property in Arizona for you.)
Most of the time I let my paper sit and acclimate to my craft room. This one didn't get that chance. I had it cut up and distressed within an hour of getting it home. Now if I could always do that, I'd probably be more productive.
Here's one of the six cards I made with ^that^ paper:
After cutting the panel and distressing the edges, I put my Big Shot to work on cutting the mats. More distressing and a little stamping and this card was finished. I wanted to stitch the sides and I'm glad I did. I think it adds a nice finishing touch. The knot is Fine Linen satin ribbon. I love that color!

I'm a sucker for OA patterned paper too. And I am a patterned paper faithful too. I love that sheet, and the one image in the middle and how it really stands out amongst the busyness of the plaid.
Another OA addict here...
and isn't collecting paper and never using part of the hobby?
*giggle*
This is fabulous!
Love the colors...
and those layered Mat Stacks are perfect! :)
Another beautiful card for your aunt. I love that patterned paper as a background. Maybe you should get some more of it, just to hoard?
I {heart} OA. It's my favorite brand. Your card is beautiful.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas.
So beautiful card! Thanks for sharing :)
